Build Resilience. Unlock Potential. Thrive Through Sport.

At Wingman Performance Coaching,

High school track and field event with athletes and coaches. A young male athlete is giving a high five to a female coach, who is wearing a dark blue vest with "COACH JENA" written on the back. Other athletes and spectators are visible in the background on the track and stands.

We believe athletes are more than their results, and your long-term success-in sport and beyond- starts with how you train your body and your mind.

Many athletes are taught physical skills, but few are taught how to manage pressure, build confidence, or handle setbacks. That’s where we come in.

Our coaching goes beyond workouts. We teach athletes how to develop tools they can return to in moments of stress, doubt, or high stakes—so they don’t just compete, they compete with clarity.

Whether you’re a high school athlete dealing with pressure, burnout or aiming for the next level, a coach trying to build a resilient team, or an adult rediscovering your relationship with sport, our approach is grounded in skill-building, self-awareness, and sustainable growth.

This isn’t just about faster times. It’s about becoming the kind of athlete, and person, you’re proud of.

The Wingman Performance mission is to empower current and “former” runners by equipping them with tools to manage stress and build resilience, using athletics as a lens for navigating life’s challenges.

Who I Work With

Athletes- whether you're just starting out, rediscovering your love of movement, or pushing for your next breakthrough. You might be a high school runner looking for structure and support, an adult athlete navigating training alongside a busy life, or someone reconnecting with sport after time away.

At Wingman, you're not just training to perform-you’re learning to grow, adapt, and thrive.

Youth, High School, & Collegiate Athletes

Develop the tools to compete with confidence, train with intention, and manage stress in a high-pressure environment.

Adult Athletes

Reconnect with movement, rediscover your edge, and learn to train smarter—not just harder.

Coaches & Teams

Strengthen team culture and equip athletes with mental skills to compete with clarity, composure, and confidence.

"Having Coach Jena is a privilege we could never have anticipated. As parents, it means so much to have someone like Jena investing in our young people - they need good humans, role models, and adults who truly care. Jena embodies all of this and so much more thanks to both her expertise and experience in the sport. Jena's approach is truly holistic and we feel incredibly lucky she has stepped into that role so wholeheartedly, going far beyond what is asked of her. Coach Jena's impact is deeply felt, and her ability to connect with and inspire teenagers is a rare gift. We are truly grateful."

What People are Saying

"Despite Jena's masterful grasp of what a high-school athlete needs to optimize performance, her greatest strength may be as a human being and mentor.  When needed, she is a friend, therapist, and confidant.  She seems to always know if my daughter needs a hug after a tough race, if she needs a proverbial kick in the pants, or something in between. Jena is able to push my daughter in ways that no other coach has been able to do, and has brought the best out of her, and more importantly, given her the tools she needs to grow and mature from an adolescent to a confident young woman. She has also emphasized a balanced life, a metaphorical house with many rooms, and this balance has also been a key factor in my daughter’s confidence,  outlook, and success. It is rare to find a coach so dedicated to a single sport, but also dedicated to ensuring her athletes have a balanced life outside of that sport.  My daughter has learned from Jena the value of  sportsmanship, leadership, hard work, and dedication. These are attributes that will enrich her life experience, and the experience of those with whom she interacts in all areas of her life, long after her running career has ended."
